Eliminate or reduce your dependency on solvent welding with rapid setting, high clarity, light curing materials for clear plastic fabrication………….

If you answer yes to any of the following questions – order an evaluation kit  that can provide answers/solutions to these questions/issues -

  • Are there voids or bubbles in solvent welded joints?

  • Do you have the need to align/adjust components prior to the glue setting?
  • Has solvent run out of a joint and ruined an assembly?
  • Have you ever wanted to color tint clear plastic laminates?
  • Would you like a quick, easy method of eliminating machining marks?
  • Can you join decorative metal or screen-printed laminates to acrylic or polycarbonate in seconds and achieve long lasting, high clarity assemblies?
  • Would you like to eliminate the cost of applying pressure sensitive adhesives to surfaces that are not solvent weldable?
  • Are you currently using adhesives that must be mixed and allowed to set undisturbed for hours before the assembly can be handled?
  • Have you made multiple fixtures because the adhesives you use require extended drying times?
  • Have your designers set aside ideas because they are difficult or too costly to implement?

The benefit of using a light curing adhesive is that you no longer have to polish a surface before joining it to glass, metal, or another piece
of plastic as the adhesive wets out in the scratches left by the saw and renders them invisible -

Two of the photos show a piece of acrylic joined to each other with AP 012 (high clarity UV/visible light curing adhesive for clear plastic).

Stuck – Ask Chuck……… Let me help you select the right adhesive for your work/project - Send me the materials you are bonding, tell me your expectations relative to performance and how the final product will be used

The drilled hole in the acrylic block is clearly visible - the photo of the saw marks masks the presence of the drilled hole but the use of AP
010 to join the acrylic sheet to the acrylic block has effectively washed out the surface scratches on the block so you can see the drilled hole.
